The Mountains of Mississippi
At 6,229 feet high, straddling the border between Nevada and California, is this incredibly photogenic lake surrounded by luscious alpine views: meet Lake Tahoe, crown jewel of the Sierra Nevada. I simply can’t get enough of taking pictures of the lake and its surrounding area… Stunningly beautiful. Here’s a view from the Southern shore of the lake, at a place called Zephyr Cove, which is also the home base of M.S. Dixie, shown in the picture. It’s a striking sight, in the middle of the mountains, seemingly airlifted by sheer magic from the Mississippi river, to take amazed visitors around the lake, such as near Emerald Bay and its stunning waterfall, on the Western shore of the lake…
Too many sights for just one picture. Then again, in my two previous entries (in Spanish) I included some early and slightly clumsy attempts at panoramic photography - but you need to have QuickTime installed in order to enjoy those views. More to follow in the future… Stay tuned, be stunned!
