Se supone que en una página “acerca de” vayan descritas vida y obras del autor; paso olímpicamente de ello, porque a nadie le van a interesar mis reseñas de párvulos, ni menos qué hago para ganarme el sueldo (que sin ir más lejos, y para colmo de aburrimiento, suele estar dentro del marco de la Ley). En su lugar, una somera explicación de las pautas que mantengo para los comentarios: no tolero ni spam (me lo cargo sin mirar) ni exabruptos y soflamas fuera de lugar (tipo goatse, por poner un ejemplo), sobre todo si se enzarza mutuamente (con otro comentario) en lugar del tema en cuestión. No me importan contenidos u orientaciones de opinión; sí ruego mantener un mínimo de formas. Como toda instalación de una bitácora bajo WordPress (es lo que tengo ahora - más abajo la razón específica) hay fundamentalmente dos clases de elementos variables que le dan su personalidad. El primero es el así llamado “tema” que le da su aspecto visual.
Luego hay una serie de extensiones (en inglés, plugins) que me parecen interesantes para mencionarlos, y que a mi entender facilitan las cosas un poco:

Finalmente, he metido un poquito de mano en la barra lateral, además de introducir un bichito útil (cortesía de Snap) que muestra un pequeño pantallazo de previsualización encima de cada enlace a un sitio “ajeno” - con el detalle singular que lo configuré de tal forma que sólo se lanza el globo de previsualización cuando se mueva el puntero por encima del pequeño icono del bocadito (me cojo un globo de narices cuando saltan esos pop-up nada más moverse el ratón encima de cualquier parte del enlace… ¡jorobar con los pop-up!). Un pequeño detalle pero me gusta, no soy muy proclive a colocar cacharros que huelen a spam. Todo lo contrario; por eso, evito colocar anuncios en esta bitácora. Por ejemplo.
Ejem… Hablando del tema. Luego hay una serie de otros cosas, que tienen como principal cometido mantener a raya a los malditos rastreadores y difusores de spam y malware, que me tienen cabreado. Para mí esas extensiones tienen una función de una importancia incluso superior a las mencionadas, pero supongo también que se entenderá por qué no voy a desgranar lo que tengo como protección contra esas bandas criminales. De hecho, son la única razón por la que después de cinco años pegué el salto desde MovableType; por motivos que ahora no vienen a cuenta, mi bitácora atrajo en su anterior etapa 100% in English una cantidad bárbara de atención totalmente indeseada, y me tenían las ratas de cloaca difusores de spam hasta la mismísima. Desde que cambié de software (y más que nada, me aplique en profundidad las recetas disponibles, que es más importante si cabe) puedo dormir bien por las noches. ¡Gracias por preguntar!
