I just visited the newsgroup “alt.binaries.pictures.landscapes.amateur” and got the following breathtaking picture… Apparently, from Lake Virginia. Now that’s what I’d call a perfect symbol for autumn! Here it is:

(Added later: I found the original website, to give due credit for this stunning image. Apparently, the website operators spread those incredible images around the web to attract visitors to the Smith Mountain Lake Region. Judging from those images it’s certainly worth a visit!
